Daytime Pray-ers

Thanks for praying and fasting with us this Wednesday, December 1.

Jesus said He must work while it is day, for the night comes when no one can work. He was referring to His upcoming crucifixion, and the fact that He only had a limited time on earth to do His Father’s will.

We also have a limited time on earth. We MUST work while it’s OUR daytime, for the time will come when we can work no more.

Your prayer time is some of the most important work possible! Spurgeon said that prayer is like the train tracks, and God is the train. When we pray, we are laying the tracks for where God wants to go!

Let’s pray.

Let’s pray for ourselves

Dear Lord,

We confess there is no greater work than being in Your presence. We delight in You and long for You. Remind us that our time with You is what You value most. Help us to hear Your voice so we don’t waste our daytime and lifetime doing things You never called us to do. And help us to focus everyday on why we are here.

So here’s our prayer… Lord, we're available, TODAY.

Let’s pray for our city and country

Dear Lord,

It appears the night is coming quickly for America. But that also means that the daytime is coming for the church. Arouse Your church to work while it is day. Help us focus on the main 2 things: loving You and helping others love You. Let us hear Your voice. Use us TODAY.

Let’s pray for the global advance of the gospel

Dear Lord,

Protect the pastors in Orissa, India. Many have now been kidnapped. Comfort their families and bring a mighty wave of Your Spirit throughout Orissa for Your glory alone. In Jesus’ name, we pray, amen.
